Currently at the pub on Mondays we're playing Carcassonne (with the River expansion).

We've played it about four times now, so they're not exactly new to the game, but none the less I think I won, which may have been something to do with my ending up having gone round the scoring track more than twice! :-)

At almost the very last moment (about 10pm the previous night!) I decided to go to Dragonmeet in London yesterday and had a good time...

Having joined up with a Board Games group called Portsmouth on Board and also having been playing lots of Mah Jongg with friends at the pub on Monday evenings, I decided it was time to start accumulating a collection of games of my own.

I've just got back from another fun board gaming session with the Portsmouth On Board group.

One game we played was Samurai by Reiner Knizia (which I'm sure translates as: Evil German SOB who likes giving players headaches and putting them into analysis paralysis!)

Earlier this evening I was at the Wine Vaults again, meeting the gaming group Portsmouth On Board and playing a couple of games I'd not tried before.

At this evening's board gaming meet I had the chance to have a real blast from the past because someone had brought along a Second Edition version of Talisman which I haven't played for about 25 years!

I've just got back from Watervole's place after the fourth (or it may be the fifth, I've lost count!) Silvercon event which is basically a long weekend of boardgames, card games and other silly (or very silly) games!

I'm now knackered, but I had a really great time :-)

I've recently bought a copy of Settlers and introduced a couple of friends to it this evening.
